Mumbai, Dec 14 (IANS) Indian OTT platform ZEE5 will be launch its first edition of OTT users choice awards titled "High Five on ZEE5".

It will be held on December 20 in Mumbai.

"High Five on ZEE5" is an award initiative by the OTT brand to recognise top content based on actual consumption data matrix. It will honour the most consumed content across various categories, based on user choices. The data is based on consumers viewership, engagement rate and completion rate.

The categories are Hindi TV show, Hindi Original Series, Regional Original Series, Movie and Music Video. It's the first time an OTT Platform in India is conducting an award basis users preferences. This will be conducted month on month basis.

Aparna Acharekar, Programming Head, ZEE5 India, said: "It has been a great year for us at ZEE5. We have grown multifolds in terms of subscriptions. This journey would not have been possible without our content teams that is - our actors, directors and all the creative heads contributing. High Five On ZEE5 is our initiative to recognise and felicitate our talent and we intend to do this regularly."

ZEE5 has rolled out over 100 originals from February 2018 to November 2019, across genres.
